McMinnville MEGA
Marketplace
is the brainchild of entrepreneur Gordon
McGee, Jr.
When the 200,000
sq. ft. Powermatic factory building came up for sale
Jr.
had quite a few ideas of what to do with it.
Everything from razing the
building to a state of
the art senior care center came to mind, but each
with
great obstacles.
A middle of the
night inspiration resulted in purchasing the
building with a flea market in mind. With concerns
about the building being turned into a junk pile
the
name MEGA Marketplace was chosen (current zoning
would allow a junkyard
on
the property but we want to keep the neighbors
happy).
Planned opening day
is Saturday, March 31.
Special
opening booth rentals
TWO months
FREE with a 6 month
lease agreement.
We are actively
recruiting vendors with unique goods,
bargains,
trendy items, antiques, collectibles, crafts,
and a big area
of what McMinnville is popular for,
nursery stock
and supplies.
The building is so
large
that we also have room for a 40,000 sq. ft.
expo center.
Contact has been made
with a national gun and knife show company
to come
in three times a year.
Any show that will bring good
family entertainment and
draw visitors to the market
is being considered.

Manager
